Hundreds of Afghan civilians still dying in the United States' "good war""The US insists that American forces do not deliberately target civilians. No compensation has been paid by the US to the victims’ families, according to Attiqullah. He admitted that the Karzai government had paid $2,000 for each death and $1,000 to each injured person. This shows the little value that is placed on Afghan lives." |

Frustrated US threatens to spread its war from Afghanistan into Pakistan"Pakistani analysts believe this is part of a larger US strategy to destabilize Pakistan, preparing for its denuclearisation and ultimate destruction." |

Summing Up"We don't know whether Tzipi Livni is ready to implement such a plan, or what she thinks about this testament. True, she has lately voiced rather similar ideas, but she is now entering the cauldron of the Prime Minister's office. One cannot know what she will do. I wish her one thing above all: that at the end of her days as Prime Minister she will not have to sit down and give an interview, in which she, too, will apologize for missing the historic opportunity for making peace." |

Israeli Spying on the United States"There is a long pattern of Israeli espionage against the United States. Except for Pollard, however, prosecutions have been rare. Nearly all similar cases have been settled generously for Israel by “diplomatic” or “political” means. But in the Rosen and Weissman case the security and intelligence components of the U.S. government seem, so far, to be determined for a showdown." |

Resurrecting a Modern Myth: "The Surge Is Working""McCain, however, has cleverly tried to turn his deadly mistake of supporting the Iraq war to his advantage by trumpeting that his policy decision has brought down American casualties. But neither Obama nor McCain is talking about the 32,000 wounded and maimed Americans, nor do they mention the several hundred thousand Iraqis who have died as a result of Bush’s invasion. It’s as though those dead Iraqis never existed. Supporters of the Iraq war are unable to see the wreckage of Iraqi lives caused by George W. Bush, the former fraternity boy, who has left to someone else the cleaning up of the terrible mess he’s made." |

Holocaust - That Turned Into Anglo-American Hate Transference Facility"After being a prisoner of war, McCain despicably still keeps on saying "I know how to win wars" Surely, he deceitfully means "I know how to have American youths get killed in Iraq War." His speeches show he doesn't know that over 4,175 Americans have already been killed and 30,662 wounded as of September 29, 2008. Yet, quite frequently, McCain claims himself as a war hero. Does he ever ask himself whether that Vietnam War was a legitimate one with UN approval? The opinion of the world would be a thunderous "no" and the UN had no part in it." |

Things to do before I retire :: ...from the diary of US President George W. Bush, as told to Stefan Simanowitz ::"Other folks say Iraq is kinda like the new Vietnam. I couldn’t really say ’cause I’ve only been to Iraq at Thanksgiving and I never went to ‘Nam in the Seventies – it was way too dangerous back then. But Dick says that 60,000 of our guys died in Vietnam and we’ve only lost about 4,000 so far in Iraq, so that’s really good going. No-one takes notice of the injured guys so they don’t count. I do feel bad for the brave service men and ladies who get popped, though. Just last week Condee came into my office and told me that three Brazilian soldiers had been killed in Baghdad and I was really awful upset. ‘How many is a brazilian?’ I asked." |
